Savoir que la voie est libre de glace jusqu\u2019\u00e0 Gjoa Haven m\u2019a permis de prendre ce recul par rapport \u00e0 notre engagement de tous les instants. Nous devrions arriver \u00e0 l\u2019escale en d\u00e9but d\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi. Je suis heureux. Il \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 tellement improbable de parvenir jusqu\u2019ici. Tous les espoirs demeurent de mise pour la r\u00e9ussite de notre d\u00e9fi. En son temps, Willy de Roos n\u2019avait atteint Gjoa Haven depuis l\u2019Atlantique que le 23 ao\u00fbt.
